Mildred Bullington

Funeral services for Mildred C. Bullington, 89, of Sycamore, GA. will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Bullington passed away Wednesday at her residence following a brief illness.

The daughter of the late Rufus Collie and Flossie Mae Howard Cleghorn, she was born in Turner Co. and was a homemaker. The widow of Rev. James Elmer Bullington, she was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Bullington was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lynn Howard, one sister, Mae Belflower, and one brother, Melvin Cleghorn. She was a very active member of the Lydia Sunday School Class and was involved in earlier years with WMU, GA’s and Y.W.A. Mrs. Bullington loved fishing and working with her flowers.

Survivors include her children, Delmer and Ellen Bullington and Delton and Robbie Bullington all of Sycamore, GA,; Ruenette and Grady Gilbert of Dalton, GA., Blondean and Richard Cargile of Ocilla, GA., LaVerne and Sonny Pate of Irwinville, GA. and Betty Jean and Doug Horn of Opelika, AL. Her brother, Milton Cleghorn of Ashburn, GA.; her sisters, Bertie Kendrick and Hazel Bell both of Sycamore, GA.; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven till nine at Perry Funeral Chapel.
