Catherine Elaine Tate

Memorial services for Catherine Elaine Tate, age 53, of Adel, Georgia will be held Thursday, May8, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Ms. Tate died Monday at her residence following a sudden illness.

Ms. Tate was born in Tift County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Charles Edwards Tate and Norma Elane Walters Maricle of Sycamore, Ga. She was a Registered Nurse. She was a longtime resident of Tifton before moving to Adel about 13 years ago. She loved her nursing profession, cooking, reading, and shopping.

Ms. Tate is survived by one son and daughter in law, Lucas & Haley Smith of Adel; three grandchildren, Buddy, Chole & Tristin. She is also survived by her mother and step father Norma & Bill Marcile, of Sycamore, one sister and brother in law, Cindy & Terry Stephens, of Scooterville, Ga. She was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Tate. Also surviving are a large number of loving and devoted friends.
