Oscar C. Saylor

Graveside funeral services for Oscar C. Saylor, 83, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Saylor died Sunday at Ashburn Health Care following an extended illness.

Mr. Saylor was born in Rome, Georgia and was the son of the late Jerry M. & Mary Holt Saylor. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Turner County since 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Saylor is survived by the mother of his children, Estelle Pate Saylor of Tifton, Ga. and his children: Allen C. (Diane) Saylor, Sycamore, Ga., Wayne (Betty) Saylor, Sycamore, Ga., Linda Sue Saylor, Tifton, Ga., Carolyn S. (J.B.) Odom, Warwick, Ga., Beth S. (Greg) Ireland, McDonough, Ga., and Debbie S. (Gary) Murphy, Stockbridge, Ga.. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Saylor was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
