Earl Manders

Funeral services for Mr. Earl Manders, 87, of Ashburn, GA. will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 19, 2008 in the Christian Union Church of God. Interment will follow in the Dakota Cemetery in Turner Co. Mr. Manders passed away Monday at his residence following an extended illness.

The son of the late William Henry and Beulah Mae West Manders, he was born in Ellijay, GA. and had resided in Turner Co. for the last 12 years. He was a retired truck driver and attended the Christian Union Church of God. He was a US Army veteran of WW II and The Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Earlene M. Manders on June 10, 2008. He was preceded in death by his sister Bernice Murray and his brothers, Ray Manders and James Manders.

Survivors include his children, Randall Manders and Donnie Manders both of Ashburn; Linda Mock of Valdosta and Christine Manders of Ashburn; his sisters Eunice Pittman, Indian Head, MD, Eula Mae Miller, Blackshear, GA, Vera Ruth Norman, Bristol, GA, Lucy Rodriguey, San Diego, CA, Annette Manders, Marietta, GA, Catherine Carter, St. George, FL, Susie Yarbrough, Quitman, GA, Katie Gable, Blackshear, GA,; his brothers, Eugene Manders, Waycross, GA, Cecil Manders, Paul Manders and Johnny Manders all of Blackshear, GA.; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
