Clyde Gibbs

Funeral services for Mrs. Clyde Gibbs, 97, of Ashburn, GA. will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the Amboy Baptist Church in Turner Co., GA. Mrs. Gibbs passed away Monday at her residence following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.

The daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mellie Alberson Hamilton, she was born in Cherokee Co., GA and was a member of the Amboy Baptist Church. A homemaker, she enjoyed cooking and her grandchildren. She was the widow of Mr. Charlie B. Gibbs. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles D. Gibbs and a grandson Benjie Reed.

Survivors include her daughters, Jane G. Morris of Dawson, GA. and Gail G. Reed of Ashburn, GA.; Seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Her sister, Charlotte Avery of Ashburn, GA.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
