Runette Brown

Graveside funeral services for Runette Brown, 80, of Sycamore will be held Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at New Hope Cemetery in Turner County. Miss Brown died Friday at her residence following an extended illness.

Miss Brown was born in Turner County, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Oliver J. and Mano Hale Brown. She had resided in Turner County all of her life. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She retired after eighteen years as manager of Sims Dime Store in Ashburn. She also was employed at Porter’s Department Store and Reinhardt’s Department Store. She loved working with flowers and enjoyed talking with her friends on the phone.

Miss Brown is survived by one brother, Clinton (Mary Emma) Brown, Sycamore, Ga. and two sisters, Cortez B. Milam and Grace (Hoss) Myers both of Sycamore, Ga. Also surviving are three nieces and three nephews and a large number of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn.
