Funeral Services for Kalum Coston Fender, age 18, of 895 Cofer Road, Ashburn will be held Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11:00 A. M. at the Ashburn First Baptist Church with burial to follow at 2:00 P. M. at the Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery in Cook County, Georgia. Kalum died Friday evening in Tifton from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Kalum was a native of Cook County, Georgia the son of Ricky Dewayne Fender, Sr. and Donna Kay Morey. He was a member of the Zion Hope Baptist Church, Tifton and was a longtime resident of Turner County. On Monday, August 4, 2008 he would have started his Senior year at Turner County High School were he was a member of the Golf Team. He was an employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken of Ashburn. He was preceded in death by grandparents Mack Morey and Coston Fender.
Survivors are his parents Ricky & Janet Fender, Jacksonville, Fl, and Donna Kaye Morey and Tommy Pate, of Ashburn. His brothers Ricky Fender, Jr, and Travis Fender of Jacksonville, Fl. and Johnny Pate, Worth County, Ga. and Josh Pate, Rebecca, Ga. and his sister Nikki Fender, Tifton his grandparents Ina Bell Morey, Adel, and J. W. & Virginia Pate, Tifton and James and Patricia Fender, Valdosta, a great grandmother Ruby Fender, Valdosta. Aunts and Uncles Faye & Billy May, Shirley & Ronnie Purvis, Kenny & Joyce Morey, and Jerry & Judy Morey, Kenny & Libby Fender, and a nephew Blake Walker and a niece Breanna Walker and many cousins.
Family will receive friends at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn Sunday from Five until Seven P. M.
