Royce A Childs

Funeral services for Mr. Royce A. Childs, 73, of Marietta, GA. will be held Friday, December 12, 2008 at 4:00 PM in the Bethel Baptist Church in Turner Co., GA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Childs passed away Wednesday at North Fulton Regional Hospital following a brief illness.

The son of the late Allen Jackson and Attice Elizabeth Veal Childs, he was born in Irwin Co., GA. and was a long time resident of Valdosta, GA before moving to Marietta in 1990. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valdosta. Mr. Childs served in the United States Air Force and was a retired employee of Georgia Power Co. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Jane Wilson Childs who died Oct. 15, 2001.

Survivors include his daughter, Dr. Cynthia Elizabeth Childs of Marietta, GA. and his son, Richard Childs of Atlanta, GA

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from Six until Eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
