Janice Nell Parker

Funeral services for Janice Nell Parker, 70, of Chula, Ga. will be held Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in the Arabi Cemetery in Arabi, Georgia. Ms. Parker died Thursday at Tift Regional Medical Care in Tifton.

Ms. Parker was the daughter of the late James C. and Minnie Alma Barfield Holcomb. She was a retired nurse and was of the Baptist faith. She had resided in Chula for the last 32 years.

She is survived by one brother, Glenn Holcomb, Elba, Alabama and her nieces, Brenda Ewertz, Arabi, Ga., Penny Nance, Hanceville, Al., Glenda Sanders, Teresa Hussey, both of Elba, Al., Donna Bragg, Jack, Al, and Lisa Yelverton, Enterprise, Al, and several other nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Barbara Holcomb, Woodbury, Ga., Betty Holcomb, Columbus, Ga. and Julia Lee Holcomb, Cordele, Ga.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M.
