Troy David Tanner, Sr.

Funeral Services for Troy David Tanner, Sr. age 51 of Ashburn will be held Saturday at 11:00 A. M. at the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Tanner died February 19, 2009 at Medical Center of Central Georgia.

Mr. Tanner was a native of Alma, Georgia the son of the late Charlton Tanner and Grace Barber Tanner of Ashburn. He was a welder and a member of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Emily Tanner.

He is survived by his son Troy David Tanner, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Ashburn and his daughter Tashila Tucker and her husband John of Arabi, Ga. The Mother of his children Tena Ward Tanner, Ashburn his mother Grace Tanner, a brother Ricky Tanner and a sister Patsy Chappell all of Ashburn and his grandchildren Matthew Tanner and Elijah Tanner of Ashburn and Brian Tucker, Logan Tucker and Dakota Tucker of Arabi, Ga.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the funeral home.
