Florene "Flo" Kelley Sumner

Graveside funeral services for Florene “Flo” Kelley Sumner, 81. of Sycamore will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Sumner died Saturday at Park Regency in Moultrie, Ga. following an extended illness.

Mrs. Sumner was born in Berrien County, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Mary Jane Hawkins Kelley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Inaha Baptist Church. She had resided in Turner County since 1958. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander “Jake” Sumner and one son, Jimbo Sumner.

Mrs. Sumner is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Rodney & Sandra Shumake, Albany, Ga., Al and Deborah Shumake, Dalton, Ga. and Alex and Dona Sumner of Sycamore, Ga. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Rod Shumake, Stacey Rusich, Ken Shumake, Kelley Shumake, Alexis Sumner and Eli Sumner. She is also survived by four Great Grandchildren, Caylyn, Carlee, Tyler, and Elizabeth Shumake.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 P.M.-2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
