Marguerite Wisham Gleaton

Funeral services for Marguerite Wisham Gleaton, 90, of Ft, Gaines, Ga. will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashburn First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Gleaton died Sunday in Ft. Gains following an extended illness.

Mrs. Gleaton was born in Turner County and was the daughter of the late Frances Marion & Myrtis Brown Wisham, Sr. She a member of the Ashburn First United Methodist Church and the Ruth Sumner Sunday School Class. She enjoyed working in her yard and reading her Bible. Mrs. Gleaton was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one son, James Carl Gleaton in 1957.

She is survived by her sons and daughters in law: Monroe J. & Deborah Gleaton, Jr., Leesburg, Ga. and William M. & Leatafaye Gleaton, Georgetown, Ga. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Hope Elizabeth Rogers, Statesboro, Ga.; William F. Gleaton, Macon, Ga.; Monroe Jackson Gleaton, III, and James Benjamin Gleaton, both of Leesburg, Ga. and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 Tuesday at Perry Funeral Chapel.
