Funeral services for Mr. Buel Abram Myers, 80, of Sycamore, GA. will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, June 5, 2009 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner Co. Mr. Myers passed away Wednesday at Tift Regional Hospital following a brief illness.
The son of the late Abram M. and Isa Mae Marchant Myers, he was born in Tift Co., GA and had resided in Turner Co. most of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Faith and retired from Kelley Manufacturing Co. in Tifton. A veteran, he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed picking up pecans, fishing, visiting friends and family and long rides in the country.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Braddy Myers, his children, Michael Myers and Melinda M. (Doyle) Page; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a brother A. J. “Hoss” Myers all of Sycamore, GA.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
