Mary Tindall

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Annie Bankston Tindall, 97, of Ashburn, GA. will be held, 11:00 AM, Monday, July 6, 2009 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mrs. Tindall passed away Friday at Tift Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.

The daughter of the late John Henry Alexander Bankston and Carrie Temprance Mangham Bankston was born on July 12, 1911 at The Rock, Upson Co., GA. She was the widow of Mr. Johnnie David Tindall. She was a retired nurse from the Turner Co. Hospital where she worked for over twenty five years. She loved her flowers and garden. She was the last of a family of twelve siblings.

Survivors include her sons, J. D. (Jane) Tindall, San Antonio, TX; Franklin (Virginia) Tindall, Augusta, GA; Glynn (Gwen) Tindall, Calhoun, GA; her daughter, Mary Emma (Clinton) Brown, Sycamore, GA. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from four until six at Perry Funeral Chapel.
