Eugene "Cubby" Goff, Jr.

Funeral services for Eugene “Cubby” Goff, Jr., 78, of Ashburn, GA will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church in Turner Co. Mr. Goff passed away Sunday in Albany following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.

The son of the late Eugene and Rosa Lee Blanchard Goff, Sr., he was born in Turner Co. where he resided all his life. He was a dairyman and cattleman. Mr. Goff was a member of the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church and served in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and history of Indian Artifacts. He was also very involved in his family genealogy. In addition to his parent he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Holt Goff.

Survivors include his sister, Gloria G. (Rody) Watson, Ashburn, GA; his niece and nephews, Tresa Lynn (Roger) Barfield, Cordele, GA, Eugene David (Wendy) Avera, San Antonito, TX, and James Scott Watson, Ashburn, GA. He is also survived by his great nieces, Brandy M. Pace, Tracey L. Loper, Stacey Leigh Keller and their children all of Cordele, GA. and many more family and close friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
