Carolyn Eloise Lunsford

Carolyn Eloise Lunsford, 80, a resident of Wetumpka, AL, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 after a brief illness. Local funeral services will be Sunday, August 9, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Goodhope Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Hill and Rev. Ron Clay officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Gassett Funeral Home. The body will travel to Ashburn, Georgia for viewing to begin Monday, August 10 at 10:00 AM in The Harmony Baptist Church and then graveside services to follow in The Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM. Perry Funeral Chapel will direct services in Georgia. Pastors Kenny Hill and Jerry Cooper will officiate.

Mrs. Lunsford is survived by one son, Mike Lunsford (Debbie) of Wetumpka; two brothers, Jake Lumpkin (Dot) of Ashburn, Georgia and Lamar Lumpkin (Jewel) of Valdosta, Georgia; and three grandchildren, Shanna Lunsford of Orlando, Florida and Kristen and Brady Lunsford of Wetumpka, Alabama. Mrs. Lunsford was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lunsford and a brother, Bobby Lumpkin.

Mrs. Lunsford was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and Mema who loved her Lord. Her joy was praising her Lord and caring for her family.
