Funeral services for Ina Mae Phagan Lamb, 93, of Ashburn, GA will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 11:00 AM at The Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca, GA. Mrs. Lamb passed away Friday at Heritage Health Care in Ashburn following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The daughter of the late Harrison M. and Mamie Hammond Phagan she was born in Forsyth Co., GA and had lived in Turner Co. most of her life. As a member of The Pleasant Hill Baptist Church she was also a member of The Stars and Pearls Sunday School Class. She was one of the first telephone operators in Rebecca and had worked at Cordele Uniform as a seamstress. She was also a homemaker and a faithful supporter of her husband in his farming the family farm for many years. Mrs. Lamb enjoyed cooking, fishing and spending special times with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Felder Lamb in 1982.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Dorothy and J.W. Lumpkin and her son and daughter in law Doyle and Sylvia Lamb all of Ashburn. Her grandchildren, Jim (Leann) Lumpkin, Ashburn; Debbie L. (Martin) Young, Fitzgerald; Joy L. (Dennis) Carter, Sycamore; Jeff (Diane) Lamb, Ashburn. Her great grandchildren, Audrey Young, Allison Carter, Lindsey Carter, Kendall Lamb and Winston Lamb. Also surviving is her sister Irene P. Warren, Fitzgerald.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.

Flowers will be accepted or for those who wish donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
