Drama Pirkle

Funeral services for Drama McMillan Pirkle, 92, of Sycamore will be held Friday, September 11, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bethel Baptist Church with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Mrs. Pirkle died Tuesday at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Pirkle was born in Willacoochee, Ga. and was the daughter of the late Jeff and Annis Arnold McMillan. She was a retired wedding planner and a housewife. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class and a former Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Pirkle enjoyed flower arranging, working in her yards, and entertaining her grandchildren.

Mrs. Pirkle is survived by her husband, Eugene G. Pirkle, Sycamore, Ga., and her children, Leon & Barbara Pirkle, Dahlonega, Ga.; Margene & ‘Bug’ Wynn, Sycamore, Ga.; Donald & Patsy Pirkle, Brookfield, Ga.; Gerald & Linda Pirkle, Sycamore, Ga.; Earnie & Sarah Pirkle, Savannah, Ga., and Martha Ann & Keith Carter, Sycamore, Ga. She is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Emory McMillan, Tifton, Ga. and one sister, Lucille Jones, Mobile, Ala. She was preceded in death by her brother Ray and sister Jeffery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
