Wayne Bridges

Funeral Services for Wayne M. Bridges, age 73, of 162 Goff Road, Warwick, GA will be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday at the Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Turner County with burial to follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn. Mr. Bridges died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Bridges was a native of Worth County, GA the son of the late Otis Monroe and Mary Griffin Bridges. He was a retired farmer and member of the Rocky Mount Baptist Church and a member of the Sycamore Lodge # 210. He was a longtime resident of Turner County before moving back to the farm where he was raised in Worth County. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Angela C. Bridges, a daughter, Dawn Bridges and a sister Linda B. Lunsford.

Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Willingham Bridges, Warwick, GA and his children Dell B. (Ricky) Smith, Tifton, GA, Donna B. (Ricky) Cawley, Ashburn, GA , Debbie B. (James) Moore, Warwick, GA. Step Children, Scott (Dale) Blue, Franklin, GA, John (Mary) Blue, Sycamore, GA and Sherri (Jerry) Simmons, Tifton, GA and his brothers Larry N. Bridges, Cordele, GA and Michael Bridges, Shreveport, LA and five grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, one great-grandchild and twelve step great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M.
