James Don Wynn, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. James Don Wynn, Sr, 88, of Suwanee, GA will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009 in the Ashburn First Baptist Church at 11:00 AM in Ashburn. Mr. Wynn passed away Monday in Duluth following a brief illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.

The son of the late Andy Don and Bertie Lee Beaty Wynn he was born in Turner Co. where he lived until moving to Suwanee three and a half years ago to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He was a faithful member and deacon of the Ashburn First Baptist Church. Mr. Wynn was a retired farmer and U.S. Post Office mail carrier who truly loved his mail patrons. A friend too many people, he loved fishing with his buddies and working in his yards. Mr. Wynn served his country in WW II in the US Navy.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty nine years, Esther Ray Wynn of Suwanee, GA; his children, Donna Wynn (Larry) Brown of Suwanee, GA and James D. (Anna) Wynn, Jr. of Fayetteville, GA; Four grandchildren and Eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from five until seven at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
