Arthur Lee "Jack" Davis

Graveside funeral services for Arthur Lee “Jack” Davis, 62, of Ashburn, GA will be held, Saturday, October 17, 2009 in the Westview Cemetery in Ashburn at 11:00 AM. Mr. Davis passed away Monday at Tift Regional Hospital following an extended illness.

The son of the late Buddy and Essie Belle Bound Davis he was born in Turner Co. where he spent most of his life. He attended The New Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Ashburn. Mr. Davis was retired from Perry Funeral Chapel, Inc. in Ashburn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Angel Davis Spears, a sister, Rosa Lee Bryant, his brothers, John Davis, Forrest Davis, Uless Davis and W. C. Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Davis, a daughter, Shelia Davis both of Ashburn; his son and daughter in law, Eric and Stefanie Davis, Fitzgerald, GA; his sister, Willie Mae Swint, Cordele, GA; his brothers, James Davis, Ashburn, GA, J. D. Davis, Houston TX, Frank Davis, Cordele, GA, Willie B. Davis, Atlanta, GA and Fred Davis, Clinton, NC. His grandchildren, Christopher Terrell, Jamal Terrell, C. C. Terrell, Ny-Eisha Davis, Ny-Shawn Davis, Uamoree Davis and Kadedra Davis. Also survivoring is his only great-grandchild, Jordan Terrell.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
