Lindora R. Collins

Funeral services for Lindora Roberts Collins, 62, of Rebecca, GA will be held Friday, December 4, 2009 at 2:00 PM in The Ashburn First Baptist Church in Ashburn. Mrs. Collins passed away unexpectedly at her residence Tuesday. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner Co.

The daughter of the late William Bennett “Billy” Roberts, SR. and Dora Pate Roberts of Ashburn, she was born in Turner Co., GA and was a member of The Rebecca Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and was a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker and served as a former director of the Ashburn Turner Co. Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include her husband, Willis R. Collins, Rebecca, GA, her children Chesann (Michael) Thompson, Perry, GA; Rhonda (Brian) Browning, Valdosta, GA; her mother, Dora Pate Roberts, Ashburn, GA, her grandchildren, William Michael Thompson, Hallie Collins Thompson both of Perry, GA and Baylee Caroline Browning, Valdosta, GA.; her sisters, Diane (Charles H.) Wideman, Rebecca, GA, Carol (James) Garrett, Ashburn, GA, Vickie (Jerry) Gunn, Ashburn, GA. and her brother W. B. “Bill” (Ruth) Roberts, Jr., Ashburn, GA and numerous nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
