Funeral services for Mr. Floyd Gifford Malott, 82, of Sycamore, GA will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 16, 2009 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Mr. Malott passed away Friday at his residence, following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn, GA.
The son of the late Floyd Ralph and Elsie Mariah Ranson Malott, he was born in Williamsburg, Ohio. A member of the Baptist Faith, he served his country during World War II in the 82nd Airborne. Mr. Malott was a retired service manager of Firestone. After his retirement from Firestone, Mr. Malott relocated his family to Turner Co., GA from Middletown, OH and pursued his lifelong love of buying, restoring and selling farm equipment.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Juanita Parks Malott, Sycamore, GA, his sons, Larry (Sue) Malott, Ashburn, GA and Scott (Stephanie) Malott, Sycamore, GA. His daughters, Sondra (Bill) Seay, Springboro, OH, Sallie (Tommy) Nolte, Sycamore, GA and Sherri (Tommy) Smith, Arabi, GA. Mr. Malott is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from six until eight, Monday, at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn, GA.
