Funeral services for Kenneth Cochran, 67, of Ashburn will be held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel. A private scattering of his ashes will follow at a later date in the hills of Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Mr. Cochran passed away Friday with his children by his side at his residence following a brief illness with cancer.
Mr. Cochran was born in Griffin Georgia and was the son of the late Robert Jewel & Erlene Brock Cochran. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and the Sycamore Masonic Lodge #210 F. & A. M. and served in the U.S. Army. Kenneth retired after 18 years as a truck driver from Southeastern Frozen Food of Cordele, Ga. in the spring of 2007.
Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife, Janet Winter Cochran, Ashburn, Ga., son and daughter in law, Tim & Ginger Cochran, of Lakeland, Ga.; son, Terry Cochran of Ashburn, Ga. and his daughter, Lisa Cochran, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon Mosher, Nashville, Tennessee, Cory Cochran, Ashburn, Ga,, Jessica Cochran, Arabi, Ga. Tristan and Stetson Cochran, both of Lakeland, Ga. Also surviving is one brother and sister in law, Keith & Ruth Cochran, of Ashburn, Ga. and two cousins, Leroy Evans, Mableton, Ga. and Enniece Lambert of Ashburn.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
