Mae T. Smith

Graveside funeral services for Mae T. Smith, 83, of Sycamore, Ga. will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Smith died Saturday in Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant S.C. following an extended illness.

She was born in Irwin County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Jessie R. and Sulice Mulkey Taylor. She was a member of the Clements Chapel Methodist Church in Turner County and a retired seamstress. Mrs. Smith was the widow of Cozzie M. Smith and was a long time resident of Sycamore, Ga. before moving to North Charleston, S.C. in 2004. She enjoyed fishing and working in her yard with her flowers and quilting.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son and daughter in law, James & Linda Smith of Macon, Ga., her daughter and son in law, Karen & Bill Santos of North Charleston, S.C. and her daughter Vickie Smith of Sycamore, Ga. Also surviving is one sister, Ruby O’Neal, Kissimmee, Florida, her grandchildren, Allen & JoEllen Smith, Ocklocknee, Ga. and Melissa Smith, Albany, Ga. and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
