Funeral services for Louise C. Wiley, 79, of Cordele, Ga. will be held Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Wiley died Tuesday at Crisp Regional Medical center.
Mrs. Wiley was born in Wilcox County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Mamie Lowery Coker. She was a seamstress, retiring from Manhattan Shirt Company and a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, working crossword puzzles, cooking, and baking fruit cakes at Christmas. She was a long time resident of Turner County before moving to Cordele in 2005. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and was the widow of Cecil Taft Wiley.
She is survived by three sons and daughters in law: Norman & Dixie Wiley, Lake Butler, Florida, Bobby & Sylvia Wiley, Ashburn, Ga., and Marvin & Sue Wiley, Jackson, Ga. She is also survived by one daughter and son in law, Bonnie & Barry Wiley, Cordele, Ga. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three brothers, Leroy Coker, Centerville, Ga., Walter Coker, Clarksville, Ga. and Bill Coker, Chattanooga, Tenn.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
