Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice C. Rainey, 93, of Sycamore, GA will be held, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn, GA. Mrs. Rainey passed away Saturday at Tift Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn.
The daughter of the late Cone Edward and Ruth Bussey Coker, she was born in Turner Co., GA and was a member of The Sycamore Methodist Church. She was the widow of Emmett Parks Rainey. As a homemaker, she loved her family and friends and always loved to discuss politics, her church family and her faith. As an excellent seamstress, she was always willing and faithful to help her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Giles Wade Rainey and Emmett Greer Rainey.
Survivors include her sons, James (Jim) W. (Karen) Rainey, Senoia, GA and Chris Rainey, Sycamore, GA.; a daughter in law, Betty Rainey, Ideal, GA; her brothers, Wesley Coker, Greensboro, GA and Bussey Coker, Sycamore, GA. Also she is survived by ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from five until seven at Perry Funeral Chapel.
