Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Louise Houston Williams, 92, of Ashburn, GA will be held, Sunday, October 24, 2010, at 2:00 PM in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Williams passed away Friday at Tift Health Care following an extended illness.
The daughter of the late Benjamin Worth and Sarah Tennie Odom Houston, she was born in Worth Co., GA and had resided in Turner Co. for over sixty five years. A homemaker and housewife, she was a member of The New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church in Turner Co. Mrs. Williams loved her fishing, making new friends and reading. She was a member of Primetimers and Keenagers Club in Ashburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Elzie Williams, Sr., a daughter Peggy W. Paulk and a great-great grandson, Tyler Thompson.
Survivors include her children, Mrs. Faye (Glynn) Cook, Ashburn, Mrs. Sammie (Curtis) Thompson, Jacksonville, FL, Thomas E. Williams, Jr. and his friend Sarah, Sycamore, Ray (Geraldine) Williams, Mt. Holly, NC, David (Linda) Williams and Tim Williams both of Ashburn. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening at Perry Funeral Chapel from six until eight.
