Myrtle Agnes Cooley Whiddon

Funeral Services for Myrtle Agnes Cooley Whiddon, age 95 of 1809 N. Central Ave., Tifton will be held Tuesday at 2:00 P.M in the Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Whiddon died Sunday December 19, 2010 at her residence after a short illness.

Mrs. Whiddon was a native of Vienna, Georgia the daughter of the late Williams Dexter and Lillie Mae Nutt Cooley. She was homemaker and retired sales clerk.
She was a member of the Tift Avenue Missionary Baptist Church and had been a resident of Tifton since 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Harold Whiddon.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law Vernon E. and Regina Childs, of Lizella, Ga., a special niece and caregiver, Kathleen Calhoun, Tifton, GA, four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great -great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 P. M. until time of the services at the church.
