Viola Wise

Funeral services for Mrs. Viola Johnson Wise, 88, of Rebecca, GA will be held Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Perry Funeral Chapel, Ashburn. Mrs. Wise passed away Monday at Tift Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

The daughter of the late Franklin Henry and Lula Mae Bennett Johnson, she was born in Wilcox Co., GA. She was the widow of Hubert Franklin Wise, SR and a homemaker. Mrs. Wise enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working word puzzles, reading mysteries and visiting flea markets. She also enjoyed watching cop shows on television. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Turner Co.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in laws, Hubert F. and Shirley Wise, Jr. of Cordele, GA and Johnny E. and Virginia Wise of Ashburn, GA; her grandchildren, Matt (Pam) Wise of Rochelle, GA; Timothy (Ingrid) Wise of Lawrenceville, GA; Deborah (Randy) McDonald of Blakely, GA; Dana Bush of Cordele, GA; Donna (Ray) Kennington of Skipperville, AL. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at Perry Funeral Chapel.
