Travis Massengale

Funeral services for Travis Massengale, 75, of Ashburn will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sycamore, Ga. Mr. Massengale died Wednesday in Douglasville, Ga. following an extended illness.

Mr. Massengale was born in Alpharetta, Ga. and was the son of the late D.D. and Delia Elizabeth Chastain Massengale. He was a retired employee of the Water and Sewer Department of Cobb County, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hobby Massengale.

He is survived by three brothers, Aaron P. Johnson, Cedartown, Ga., Billy E. Johnson, Sr., Douglasville, Ga., and William L. Bentley, Austell, Ga. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
