Lydia Ola Moore Shivers

Funeral Services for Lydia Ola Moore Shivers, 95, of Rebecca will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A. M. at the Rebecca Baptist Church. Mrs. Shivers will be buried in the Zion Hope Cemetery in Crisp County, Ga. Mrs. Shivers died Saturday June 11, 2011 at Tift Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Mrs. Shivers was a native of Arabi, Ga. the daughter of the late Felton & Eunice Bryant Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas David Shivers. She was a retired teacher from the Turner County Board of Education and was long time member of the Rebecca Baptist Church and had been a resident of Turner County for sixty five years.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Bonnie Sue S. and Jerry Williams of Cornelia, GA and two grandchildren Dr. Kimberly Williams Popwell and her husband Andy and their children Tiffany, Meagan & Lindsey all of Canton, GA. and Brian Scott Williams and his wife Angelia and their children Ansley & Grace Williams & Peyton & Abby Wright all of Cornelia, Ga. Her brother Lummie Gleaton Moore, Crisp County, Ga. and her sister LaVern McCleany, Cairo, Ga.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from six until eight p. m.

Flowers will be accepted but for those who wish donations may be made to the Rebecca Baptist Church, Rebecca, Ga.
