Betty Jo Sargent

Betty Jo Braswell Sargent, 87, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023 at Southern Pines in Warner Robins.

Betty Jo was born on September 18, 1935 in Marianna, Florida to the late William R. and Suzie Jane Alford Braswell. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Betty Jo enjoyed cooking, cross stitching and needlepoint. More than anything, Betty Jo loved her family and gathering with them and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl A. (Benny) Nodarse of Key Largo, Florida; sons, Charles D. (Kimberly) Sargent of Cleveland, Dennis M. (Linda) Sargent of Walterboro, South Carolina, Timothy D. (Kaye) Sargent of Perry; grandchildren, Kyle (Lisa) Sargent, Kelly (Sean) Dunn, Lynn (Rurik) Sargent, Steven Sargent, Vincent (Holly) Nodarse, Jessica Nodarse, Albert Smith, Carrie (Brad) Ashworth and Joshua Dylan (Kaitlyn) Herrington; great-grandchildren, Claire E. Sargent, Nikola Primiani, Amelia Primiani, Victoria (David) Klemik, Carlyn Yeatts, Joshua Smith, Kaelyn Herrington, Kenadi Herrington, Kyler Herrington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jack Sargent and many brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Zion Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Crisp County.
