Bruce L. Joyner

Bruce Leonard Joyner, 72, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Budd Terrace-Wesley Woods Geriatric Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Bruce was born on August 9, 1952 in Fitzgerald, Georgia. He was the son of Mr. Lowell “Bo” Joyner and the late Alice Marie Hutto Joyner and the step-son of Mrs. Mary Joyner. Bruce was a teacher and a musician. He was also a black belt Judo instructor. As a young man, he worked at West Brothers Grocery in Ashburn. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his father and step-mother and his brother, Bryan Joyner, of Winder, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Richard Joyner.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at the Bethel Baptist Church New Annex Cemetery at 2:30 PM. The family will greet friends from 2:00 until 2:30 at the cemetery prior to the service.
