Christopher Lee Wood

Christopher Lee Wood, 58, of Sycamore passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at his residence.

Christopher was born on December 30, 1965 in Turner County to the late Ernest Lee Wood and Betty Elizabeth Wiggins Moore. He was a mechanic and worked at Bud’s Tire Service until his retirement. Christopher loved his dogs and collected arrowheads. He loved NASCAR and was quick to tell anyone he was a fan of the Ford cars. Above everything else, he cherished the time he got to spend with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittany (Sean) Gable of Perry; son, Tony (Shelby) Wood of Pinehurst; sister, Darlene (Randy) Simpkins of Ashburn; brothers, Jerry Windham of Sylvester and Stanley Moore of Sycamore. He is also survived by four granddaughters, many nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Brenda Waller.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the social hall of Morningside Baptist Church.
