David Haman "Bunny" Moore

David Haman “Bunny” Moore, 80, of Ashburn passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023.

David was born on June 11, 1943 in Ashburn to the late David A. Moore and Mary John Haman (Grady) Williams.  Bunny was the owner and operator of Piggly Wiggly in Ashburn for many years. His number one goal in life was to provide for his family and for them to have a better life. David loved his family and spending time with them, especially his kids and grandkids. He was a loving husband and cook for his wife. Bunny served his country with honor in the Marines and Army. He attended First United Methodist Church in Ashburn. He was an avid hunter and outdoor enthusiast. He passed along his love for the outdoors to his children and grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than going on his next hunt with his kids. 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jane Moore of Ashburn; sons, Mike (Stacey) Moore of Ashburn and Ken (Kelly) Moore of Ashburn; stepdaughters, Jennifer Perry (Scott Jenkins) of Broken Arrow, OK and Michelle (Rusty) Gravitt of Ashburn; cousin, Jolene Miller of Athens; and grandchildren, Griffin Gravitt, Garrett Gravitt, Logan Moore, Lexie Moore, Kaden Moore, and Kage Moore of Ashburn. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Ashburn. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Perry Funeral Chapel from 5-7 PM.
