Dianne Jones Denham

Dianne Jones Denham, 74, of Sycamore passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Dianne was born on January 6, 1950 in Ashburn to the late Fred and Gertrude Nelson Jones. She was a supervisor with the Turner County Health Department for over 30 years. She was also a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Dianne was affectionately known as the “Cake Lady.” She was known for baking cakes for many people throughout the community after her retirement. She also worked for Dr. Tison as a bookkeeper for several years. Dianne enjoyed working on the farm with her husband. She would haul hay, drive tractors and mow fields. She would also name all the cows on the farm and they would become her pets with hopes her husband would not sell them.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Henry Denham of Sycamore; nephew, Rusty (Michelle) Gravitt of Ashburn; step-son, Mitch (Landra) Denham of Lenox; step-grandchildren, Hunter Harrell, Haley Denham, Anna Denham and Abbie Denham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Jones Gravitt.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 4, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church.
