Doyle Felder Lamb

Doyle Felder Lamb, 80, of Ashburn, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at his residence.

Doyle was born on December 21, 1943 in Turner County to the late Felder and Ina Mae Phagan Lamb. Doyle was a long-time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca where he served as past song leader. He farmed for most of his life which included row crops as well as raising cattle. He also had a passion for syrup making that spanned several generations.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia Ann White Lamb; children, Joy Lynn (Dennis) Lamb Carter of Sycamore and Jeff Allan Lamb of Ashburn; grandchildren, Allison Carter, Lindsey Carter and Winston Lamb; nieces and nephew, Debbie (Martin) Young, Jennifer (Marcus) Mulkey and Jim (Leann) Lumpkin; sister-in-law, Dee (Teddy) Brown. He is also survived by many other extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kendall Brooke Lamb and his sister, Dorothy “Dot” Lamb Lumpkin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rebecca with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.
