Georgia Pauline Wood Beard

Georgia Pauline Wood Beard, 95, of Ashburn passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Pauline was born on February 22, 1928 to the late Robert “Bob” M. and Vassey Wood. She was a homemaker and a member of Dakota Baptist Church. She was a loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She is fondly remembered as being a sweet lady who loved well.

She is survived by her sons, Ben Beard of Ashburn and Dan Beard of Ashburn. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Beard; son, Michael Lynn Beard; grandson, Daniel Eugene Beard; great-grandchild, Breezli Gibbs.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 18, 2023 at Perry Funeral Chapel with a private interment to follow. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of services Monday at the funeral home.
