Jimmie Cleo Avery Holley

Jimmie Cleo Avery Holley, 96, of Ashburn passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.

Jimmie was born on September 7, 1927 in Irwin County to the late Van Buren and Laura Kate Walls Avery. She was a retired seamstress and store clerk. Jimmie was also a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Massey of Ashburn; sisters, Cora Bell (Billy) Black of Ashburn and Georgia Lou (Raymond) Kendrick of Sycamore; grandchildren, Melodee Lynn Massey of Ashburn and Keith (Kim) Massey of Ashburn; great-grandchild, Dillon Lane Massey of Ashburn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G. W. Holley; siblings, Carl Avery, Fannie Morse and Eva Lillian Skaggs; grandchild, Aleisha Daune Massey.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Rocky Mount Cemetery.
