Joanne Frances Perry Shivers

Joanne Frances Perry Shivers, 86, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at her residence.

Joanne, affectionately known as Mena, was born in Turner County on October 26, 1937 to the late Lewis W. and Mae Stewart Perry. She retired from Colony Bank having worked as a teller and was a member of the Ashburn First United Methodist Church. Joanne enjoyed shopping on QVC and HSN and loved cats. She loved her family but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Kellie (Roger) Jones of Ashburn; son-in-law, Ray (Kathy) Jordan of Ashburn; grandchildren, Maegan (Jesse) Story and Matthew Ray (Crystal Roberts) Jordan; great-grandchildren, Cash Story, Judge Story, Maisyn Story and Emma Edmondson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jack Shivers; daughter, Ruth Ann Shivers Jordan; siblings, Richard Lewis Perry, John Harris Perry, Ruth Perry Hall and Charles Eugene Perry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Perry Funeral Chapel. Interment will be private. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
