John Jarrett Chandler Harris

John Jarrett Chandler Harris, 24, of Sycamore passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his residence.

Jarrett was born in Tifton on January 19, 1999 to Sheila Roberts Harris and the late John Carlton Harris, Jr. He was a member of House Of Prayer. He loved baseball, football and video gaming. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jarrett enjoyed music, especially playing the drums. Jarrett also had a great passion for racing. His number one hobby was dirt track racing but he also enjoyed NHRA Racing and Nascar.

He is survived by his mother, Sheila Harris of Sycamore; brother, Justin Harris of Sycamore; aunts, Wanda Roberts of Rochelle, Sandy Sumner of Ocilla, Regina (Charles) Fortson of Sycamore and Morgan Pope of Rochelle; uncles, Kevin Tripp of Ashburn and Clay (Tammy) Harris of Sycamore; maternal grandmother, Patsy McCurdy of Ashburn. He is also survived by several great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Damon Roberts; paternal grandparents, J. C. and Betty Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Perry Funeral Chapel. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Perry Funeral Chapel.
