Kenneth Howard Summerall

Kenneth Howard Summerall, 92, of Sycamore passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Maple Court in Tifton.

Kenneth was born in Alma on June 15, 1930 to the late Harward W. and Leona Carter Summerall. Kenneth served his country with honor and retired after serving 22 years in the United States Army. He was a master carpenter and taught carpentry classes at the high school and college level. He was a contractor and served the local community for many years. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church and was involved in the remodeling of the church twice. He loved his family dearly, but especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Tucker Rice Summerall of Sycamore; son, Glen R. Summerall of Cullman, Alabama; step-daughter, Debbie (Bruce) Free of Sycamore; step-son, Mike (Sheila) Rice of Ashburn; sister, Gwen (Richard) Berry of Griffin; brother, Johnny (Janice) Summerall of Blackshear;  grandchildren, Chris (Misty) Free, Amanda (Colby) Chung, Noel (Andrew) Guelker, Jessi (Josh) White, Jake (Sumer) Rice and Melody Sims; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Theresa Whiddon and daughter, Carolyn Summerall Pheil.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Sycamore Baptist Church with interment to follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church.
