Lydia Lynn Pate Huey

Lydia Lynn Pate Huey of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Lydia was born in Ashburn on February 9, 1962 to the late Barney Kenneth Pate and Virginia Ann Beasley Pate.  She was employed as an LPN at Crisp Regional Rehabilitation in Cordele. Lydia loved her children and was a wonderful mother and devoted her life to her family. 

She is survived by her mother, Virginia Pate of Ashburn as well as her husband, Bill Huey of Cordele and sons William Allen Huey, Jr and Jason Scott Huey of Ashburn and her sister, Michelle Renee (Clay) Knight. She is also survived by Melissa Allen, who was her special friend and “sister-wife”; nephews, Corey Pate, Josh Knight and Jared Knight; niece, Lauren Pate’ step-children, Marissa Allen and Bubba Allen.

She is preceded in death by her father and her brother, Jeff K. Pate. 

Funeral services will be held at Perry Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 6:00PM. The family will greet friends at 5:00PM prior to the service. The interment will be private.
