Margie Lee Evers Stephens

Margie Lee Evers Stephens, 69, of Vienna, formerly of Ashburn, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation.

 

Margie was born on January 29, 1954 in Ashburn to the late David Lee and Pauline Wells Evers. She was a member of Hawpond Baptist Church. Margie loved working in the yard with her flowers. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog, Sam. Margie was the manager at Keith-A-Que for over 20 years and was also the owner of Ms. Margie’s daycare that she ran out of her home for many years.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Mindy (Ken) Young of Dooly County and Kim (Ellis) Keen of Tift County; sisters, Jean (Gary) Brown of Crisp County, Lynn Layfield of Crisp County and Sandy Helms of Crisp County; brother, Royce (Melissa) Evers of Crisp County; grandchildren, Katlyn Bellamy, Ellie Kate Keen and Lannah Rose Keen; special friend, Ricky Floyd of Turner County.

 

A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2024 in Arabi Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel.

 

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to one of the following charities: Aphasia Awareness Group, American Brain Foundation or The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
