Marie Wynn Hudgins

Marie Wynn Hudgins, 80, of Sycamore passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

Marie was born in Tifton, GA on October 24, 1943 to the late James O’Neal, Sr. and PearLee Wynn. She was of baptist faith and an avid member of Bethel Baptist Church. Marie worked as the clerk for the City of Ashburn for many years and worked at the Board of Elections as well. She loved to bake and do things to serve others. Marie kept up with her family's finances with great pride. 

She is survived by her brother, Jimmy (Mary) Wynn of Sycamore; step-siblings; Rose Marie Morgan, William Hudson, and Glenn Hudson; grandchildren, Ryan Gregory (Darian) Ireland and Katelyn Lillie Marie Ireland; great-grandchild, Wynnston Dray Ireland and was looking forward to welcoming her second great-grandchild in June. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Wendell Hudgins, and her daughter, Margaret Marie Ireland. 

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 11:00AM at Bethel Baptist Church. The family will greet friends there from 10:00AM until the hour of service.  Inurnment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
