Monroe Jackson Gleaton, Jr.

Monroe Jackson Gleaton, Jr., 79, of Leesburg passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Pruitt Healthcare in Albany.

Monroe was born on May 2, 1944 in Tifton to the late Monroe Jackson Gleaton, Sr. and Marguerite Wisham Gleaton. He was a member of the Methodist Faith and enjoyed growing blueberries. He also served his country with honor in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Gleaton of Leesburg; sons, Monroe Jackson Gleaton, III of Leesburg and James Benjamin Gleaton of Leesburg; and brother, William Gleaton of Fitzgerald.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Gleaton.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
