Rachel Giddens

Rachel Giddens, 73, of Ashburn passed Friday, August 18, 2023 at Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn.

Rachel was born on December 11, 1949 in Tifton to the late William “Bill” Williford and Mae Pearl Ward Giddens. She was a Cosmetologist and a homemaker. Rachel loved her family tremendously, especially her grandchildren. She was known for keeping a clean house. Rachel loved to be outdoors swimming and in the sun.

She is survived by her sons, Eric (Katrina) Richter of Rebecca and Paul Richter of Ashburn; brother, Roger (Starling) Giddens of Ashburn; grandchildren, Annessia (Nathan) Martin, Chance Richter, Dillian Richter, Alana Richter, Gage Richter, Alex Richter, Abbi Richter and Adarius Boyles; 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Rex Giddens, Randy Giddens, Betty Jean Griffith, Rowena G. Sellars, Riley Giddens and Garland Giddens.

The Giddens Family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Pruitt Healthcare in Ashburn for their wonderful care of Rachel during her stay there.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2023 at New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church.
