Reba Ross Atkins, 73, of Cordele, GA passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Reba was born January 3, 1949, to the late Carlos And Lola Bullington Ross in Turner County. She worked for the Turner County Board of Education before returning to college to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. Reba enjoyed teaching for many years before retiring from the Crisp County Board of Education. She was a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Cordele where she taught Sunday School for many years and was the church clerk. Her life revolved around her family and her church. Reba enjoyed cooking and loved teaching.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Billy Atkins of Cordele; sons, Kevin (Tammy) Belflower of Sycamore, Brady (Stefani) Atkins of Cordele; daughters, Sharon (Clay) Pirkle of Sycamore, Amy (James) Stephenson of Sycamore, and Lisa (Andy) Dixon of Elberton; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church in Sycamore. Family will greet friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday, December 27th at Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church and again at 10:00AM prior to the services at Bethel.
While flowers will be accepted, the family would appreciate donations to Southern Care part of the Gentiva Family of Hospice. If sending flowers, please send all floral deliveries to Perry Funeral Chapel.
