Ronnie Gene Fortson

Ronnie Gene Fortson, 51, of Ashburn passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Ronnie was born on October 13, 1971 in Tift County to Larry Gene Fortson and the late Wanda Jane Mann Fortson. He was a self-employed heating and air contractor. Ronnie enjoyed all outdoor activities but especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his father, Gene Fortson of Ashburn; daughters, Kimberly Fortson of Lewiston, Idaho and Lauren Amick Anderson of Chapin, South Carolina; son, Timothy Fortson of Lewiston, Idaho.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Morningside Baptist Church in Ashburn. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
